Located just off Main Street (Hwy 22) and next door to City Hall and the Community Center, Charleston City Park is a convenient spot for activities and gatherings. The park has play areas for kids, picnic tables and a pavilion, tennis court, sand volleyball court, horseshoe pits, a walking trail and restrooms. Adjacent to the park is a multipurpose field currently utilized for youth soccer.
This complex located on South School Street is home to Charleston's three main ball fields one of which is used by the Lady Tigers Softball team. The complex also has concessions and restrooms, play areas for kids, walking/jogging trail with exercise stations, and picnic areas. Adjacent to the complex is a skate park and basketball court.
Charleston Lake is found at the end of South School Street. Many people fish Charleston Lake year round. Boats are allowed on the lake with motors at idle speed only. The park has a pavilion and picnic areas, walking/hiking trails, outdoor classroom/amphitheater, restrooms, disc golf course, horseshoe pits, swings, and lakeside RV parking with electric hookups.
